The presentation of the cheques to our two charities will take place at the next branch meeting on August 6th at The Final Whistle, Southwell. This is also during the IPA trail days. We hope you will able to support us.
Transport has been arranged for the next branch meeting which is Thursday Feb 5th at the Old Coach House, Southwell. The bus will be leaving from outside the Gilstrap Centre on Castle Gate at 7.30pm and the cost is £5 a head. An idea was suggested by a local publican recently that a ‘Newark Beer Collective’ be set up with a view to putting Newark well and truly on the UK’s Real Ale map, tentatively named ‘RACOON’ – The Real Ale COllective Of Newark. The quiz is taking place next Wednesday, 19th Feb, at the Mallard pub in Worksop, this is located at the Railway station in Worksop on Carlton Road. The next branch meeting is on Thursday 8th August at the Wagon and Horses, Bleasby. There will be a 23 seater coach departing from The Fox and Crown, Newark at 7pm. A minibus has been arranged for those going to the next meeting at The Cross Keys in Upton on 4th Feb. The bus will pickup from Just Beer at 7.30 p.m. and return after the meeting is completed. Places will be available on a first come, first served basis. For more details, Email Les Hooton.
