Newark 25th Beer Festival is on!
Riverside Park, Newark.
Thursday 26th May to Saturday 28th May 2022
Beer Festivals are back after a hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic and from the 26th to 28th May 2022 the Newark Beer & Cider Festival returns to the ‘Tent by the Trent’ situated in Riverside Park. It’s a fantastic location with views of Newark Castle and the River Trent. The three-day event, proudly celebrating its 25th year, will showcase fabulous real ales and ciders, many from local and regional breweries. Half and third of a pint measures will be served. We will also have a ‘Craft Beer’ bar from Just Beer, wine, gin and fizz courtesy of
Ann et Vin, some delicious food outlets and loads of great live music. A daily quiz will take place each day to stimulate the brain cells. The festival is organised and staffed by unpaid CAMRA volunteers so a big thank you to them. Without volunteers there would be no festival. If you fancy volunteering then please see the link to the staffing form.
Opening hours
Thursday 26th May – 12:00 to 22:30
Friday 27th May – 10:30 to 22:30
Saturday 28th May – 10:30 to 22:30
Getting there
The park is within a few hundred metres of Newark Castle station and just a short walk from the town centre and Newark Northgate station. There are a number of public car parks in the area though we recommend you travel to us on foot or by public transport so you can enjoy a drink or two.
Ticket info
No tickets are for sale prior to the day so entry is on the door on the day. Please note this year’s festival will be cashless so card payments only. Strike out token cards will be available in £5 and £10 denominations for the purchase of beer and cider. A half pint festival glass tankard is part of the entrance fee and can be taken home as a souvenir, or the value donated to either of our chosen charities – The Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance and Beaumond House Community Hospice. We operate Challenge 25 and please bear in mind that there may be queues at busy times but we will get you into the festival as quickly as we can. CAMRA members receive extra benefits as outlined below so it’s well worth becoming a member prior to the festival or you can join on the day. Please note that we don’t allow dogs in to the festival apart from assistance dogs.
