6.00pm Paul Carbuncle
Born behind a hop-pickers’ hut in Pluckley, Paul moved to Canterbury and spent an adolescence flitting between punk bands and folk clubs, then lapsed into an adulthood similarly squandered. Twenty-four years ago he found himself stranded in Nottingham when the head gasket went. He now claims, falsely, to be employed by the English Place-Name Society, whilst merrily gigging at pubs, festivals, and folk clubs on evenings which have been described enthusiastically as “Saturday” and “Wednesday” and sometimes “Friday”. – his words, not ours. You’ll have to come and find out. www.paulcarbuncle.com

8.00pm James Manners
A much loved and immensely popular performer across Newark and beyond. James is a regular on the Newark music scene in many guises: Solo; Total Strangers; Crow Jane; The Unusual Suspects; August James, Crazy Chester… the list goes on. With a solo single release in 2024 and an album on the way, we will be hearing plenty more from James for sure. Live, we never know quite what to expect but we will be guaranteed a great session to end our Festival. www.jamesmanners.bandcamp.com
